Cardiac arrest is the leading cause of death in the United States. Each year emergency medical services (EMS) treat from 360,000 to 500,00 victims of cardiac arrest before they reach the hospital. The mission for the Golf Outing this year is to help prevent the number of deaths through generating funds to purchase an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
Melissa Ann Cartwright, better known as Missy. She was a daughter, mother, sister, aunt, cousin, niece and friend. If you met her for the first time, she treated you as family or friend. She’d listen to you, laugh with you and cry with you. Mostly laugh with you! She was one of the funniest people to know. She loved interacting with people so working in the service industry suited her well. She was a hard worker and very loyal. Missy was athletic and could play any sport. Golf was the latest, if she wasn’t working and had the time, she was on the course.
Missy also loved animals. She was a dog – sitter for many people, which led to horse, cat and snake sitting! Missy was an awesome single Mom and you can see all of these things in her children; Paige and Corey.
As Missy would say, “ don’t forget to tip your servers”
Missy died from the complications of a sudden cardiac arrest while she was working at Strawberry Ridge in October 2016.
Please help us perpetuate her memory and possibly save a life by participating or helping with our outing.
